All the News, When it Happens!
I’m so excited to be your CAYAS blog editor this term! Web logs have become an indispensable networking and communication tool in the library biz, and my goal for the CAYAS blog is that it may serve to connect children and young adult library staff all across the state, not only by keeping you informed of CAYAS business and training opportunities, but also to provide a forum to share all those wonderful successes you experience at your home libraries.
To that end, I’d like to publish periodic entries about you, and what you’re doing for kids at your libraries. Please feel free to email me brief “news releases” about your doings at your branches so the blog can feature your activity in the future. There is another added benefit to this — you all know how we who work with kids and teens love to borrow ideas from one another!
So here’s the information I need: email me at dadriance@sno-isle.org. Please put as your subject ” CAYAS blog.” Write a brief description of your idea, program, or successful activity. Include your name, library, position, and contact information. If I get enough responses, I may be able to do an entry with kids and teens library news at monthly intervals! I appreciate your input in making this blog a useful communication tool for CAYAS, and I value your feedback as well. Thanks!
Debbie Adriance, CAYAS blog editor
